Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Software Quality Engineering, and has been
addressed in Notes/Domino 5.0.12.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 5.0.12 MR fix list (available
at http://www.lotus.com/ldd):
Calendaring & Scheduling
SPR# JNOE55C3SF - Fixed the Formula in the search button to use the proper
field for searching. Prior to this fix, an R5 user could not search for free
time when delegating to an R6.0x user.
This issue does not occur between two people using the Calendaring & Scheduling
feature of Notes 6 Client and Domino 6 Server. However, this issue still
occurs in a mixed R5 and 6 environment; that is, when the Chairperson is using
the Mail6.ntf mail design and the Invitee is using the Mail50.ntf mail design.
Supporting Information:
Steps to Reproduce Issue in R5:
1. User A sends a meeting invitation to User B.
2. User B would like to delegate the meeting to User C. User B opens the
meeting invitation, then selects the Respond action button and selects Delegate
from the drop-down menu.
3. Once the Delegate Options dialog box appears, User B selects User C's name
from the Domino Directory.
4. User B then selects the Search button and the following error message
appears: "You did not enter a person to delegate this meeting to. Please enter
the person's name you would like to delegate this meeting to."
Steps to Reproduce when the Chairperson is using Notes/Domino 6 and the invitee
is using R5:
1. User A , whose mail file is using the Mail6.ntf template design schedules a
meeting and invites User B, whose mail file is based on the Mail50.ntf template
design.
2. User B accepts the meeting invitation.
3. From the Calendar view, User B selects the meeting invitation and selects
the Participant Actions button and selects Delegate from the drop-down menu.
4. User B selects User C's name in the address field and selects the Search
button. The following error message appears: "You did not a person to
delegate this meeting to. Please enter the person's name you would like to
delegate the meeting to."
5. The delegate's (User C) name is clearly in the address field, but for some
reason, it is not recognized.
